5-Methyltetrazole (CAS: 4076-36-2) is used as cephalosporin series intermediatesand other pharmaceutical intermediates. 5-Methyltetrazole is a side chain of Cefteram Pivoxil (CAS: 82547-81-7). 5-Methyltetrazole is used in the preparation of novel antifungal agents based derived from N-iodopropargylazoles and N-triiodoallylazoles. 5-Methyl Tetrazole also in the preparation of novel quinoline derivatives against mycobacterium tuberculosis.
